Reseller guide
What an ArmorPass reseller does, how to onboard a condominium or school, what you can see of the communities in your portfolio, and how to work with your super reseller.
As a reseller, you are the local face of ArmorPass. You know the administrations in your area, you support them through adoption, and you are their first contact when questions come up. ArmorPass provides the platform; you provide the relationship.
This guide explains what you do in practice: onboarding a community, supporting its first days, and keeping an overview of your portfolio.
What a reseller does
Your work has three moments:
- Bringing ArmorPass to the condominiums, schools, and companies in your area that still control access with paper or phone calls.
- Onboarding the property and getting it running, with its administration trained and its gatehouse scanning.
- Ongoing support: answering day-to-day questions and helping the community make the most of everything they already have.
You do not operate the property from the inside. The administration manages its residents, announcements, and bookings from their panel; you step in when they need you. That separation is intentional: it protects each community's relationship with its administration and keeps your role clear.
How you onboard a community
Onboarding a property is the most important deliverable of your work. A community that starts well generates less support later.
Typical onboarding steps:
- Gather the property's details: name, address, and unit structure.
- Create the community from your panel and register its units, or delegate that data entry to the administration during training.
- Invite the administration user with their email; that person will receive access to the web panel.
- Train the administration: how residents get approved, how an announcement is published, how a booking is reviewed.
- Coordinate with the gatehouse: access to the gatehouse app is handed out by the administration, so make sure they know how to do it.
- Support the first scans in person or over a call. A friction-free first day is worth gold.
Before calling the onboarding done, verify that at least one unit has an approved resident and that the gatehouse has scanned a test pass. If both work, the community is alive.
What you see of each of your communities
Your panel summarizes your whole portfolio. From there you see, per community:
- Its name, address, and general status.
- Who the administration user is and how to reach them.
- How active the community is in day-to-day use of the platform.
- Its configuration details, to update them when something changes.
What you do not see is each community's internal operations: the passes its residents create, their chats, their complaints. That belongs to each administration. When a community needs help with those matters, your job is to guide whoever runs it, not to step in for them. That line keeps everyone's trust.
When a community changes administration, the switch happens on that community: the new manager comes in as the administration user and the previous one goes out. You continue as their reseller, without losing the history of the relationship.
Your super reseller
Super resellers coordinate several resellers. If you work under one, that person is your first point of contact for almost everything:
- They enable you as a reseller and define the communities you work with.
- They support you on complex onboardings, such as condominiums with many towers or schools with several campuses.
- They escalate for you the cases that go beyond your reach.
- They hold the aggregated view of the portfolio, so they can help you prioritize where to spend your time.
When a case exceeds what you can solve with the administration, take it to your super reseller with context: which community it is, what you tried, and what the administration needs. A well-presented case gets solved faster.
When to escalate a case
A good reseller escalates rarely, but escalates well. General guidance:
- Questions about using the app or the panel: solve them yourself with the administration, or lean on the documentation for the guide to the matching role.
- Something not working as it should: if you have ruled out a configuration or phone permissions issue, escalate it to your super reseller.
- Commercial requests such as expanding a community or adding a sister property: those go through the same channel.
After every escalation, close the loop with the administration. They do not care who solved the problem; they care that it works.
Frequently asked questions
How do I earn money as a reseller? Your commercial terms with ArmorPass are defined in your agreement: commissions, amounts, and payment method are not part of this guide and do not appear in the platform. To learn or update them, talk to your commercial contact or your super reseller.
Can I see the passes or chats of the communities in my portfolio? No. Those belong to each administration and its residents. You see the community's status and general configuration, not its daily operations.
Can I onboard a community with no administration defined? You can create the community and name a provisional administration user, but it is best to settle on the responsible person as soon as possible. The administration is who approves residents and hands out accesses.
What if a community in my portfolio wants to cancel? Listen to the reason first and check whether it is something the administration can fix with better use of the panel. If the decision runs deeper, walk them through the process and let your super reseller know.
How do I become a reseller or super reseller? Access is enabled by your ArmorPass commercial contact. If you manage several communities or coordinate other resellers, talk to them about the super reseller profile.
