Getting started with ArmorPass
What ArmorPass is, who takes part in access control, and how to get started based on your role: resident, school family, gatehouse guard, administration, or reseller.
ArmorPass is the access control system for the condominium, school, or company where you live, study, or work. The idea is simple: every visitor coming in needs an authorization, and that authorization travels in a QR code that the visitor shows at the gate and the guard scans at the gatehouse. Everything gets logged: who came in, who authorized it, and when.
This guide explains how the pieces fit together and points you to the guide for your specific role.
How an access works in ArmorPass
The full flow has four moments:
- A resident or a family creates a QR pass for their visitor, right from their phone.
- The visitor receives the pass and shows it at the gate, on their own phone or printed on paper.
- The gatehouse guard scans the pass with the gatehouse app.
- The resident gets a notification that their visitor is arriving, and the entry is recorded in the property's log.
The visitor does not need to install anything or create an account: the pass arrives as a link and opens directly.
Who uses ArmorPass
Six profiles take part in the day to day:
- Residents: use the app to create passes, receive announcements, book common areas, and talk to the administration.
- School families: use the same app to authorize their child's pickup with a QR pass that includes the photo of the authorized person.
- Gatehouse guards: use the gatehouse app to scan passes and keep the entry log.
- Administration: uses a web panel to manage residents, passes, announcements, surveys, complaints, and payments.
- Resellers and super resellers: offer ArmorPass to condominiums and schools, and support the administrations in their portfolio.
- Visitors: do not use any app, they just show the pass they received.
Pick your starting point:
- If you live in a condominium: resident guide.
- If you are part of a school family: guide for school families.
- If you work at the gatehouse: guard guide.
- If you manage the property: administration guide.
- If you sell ArmorPass: reseller guide.
What you need to get started
ArmorPass is activated property by property. That means your condominium or school must already be registered by its administration (or by the reseller supporting it) before you can join.
- Residents and families: the administration sends an invitation to your phone or hands you an activation code. With that you create your account in the app and are linked to your unit or to the child you authorize.
- Guards: the administration or the gatehouse team gives you access to the property's gatehouse app. You do not need a resident account.
- Administration: your reseller or whoever led the adoption gives you access to the web panel.
- Resellers: your commercial contact enables you as a reseller or super reseller.
If you are waiting for an invitation that never arrives, talk to your administration first. If they already confirmed they invited you, check the troubleshooting guide before writing to them again.
Your first minutes as a resident
When you activate your account for the first time, it is worth doing three things:
- Check your details: name and unit. If something is wrong, ask the administration to fix it.
- Turn on notifications: when the app asks, accept notifications. Without them you will not know your visitor has arrived, or hear about condominium announcements.
- Create a test pass: generate a pass for yourself or for someone you trust and look at it on screen. It is the best way to understand what your visitor will receive.
After that, most of daily life happens across four features: QR passes for visitors, announcements to stay informed, bookings for common areas, and the chat with the administration for everything else.
If you manage or sell
If you arrived at ArmorPass from the administration or sales side, your first day looks different: set up the property, invite the first residents, and decide how the gatehouse will operate. The administration guide and the reseller guide walk that path step by step.
