Resident guide
How to use the ArmorPass resident app: activate your account, invite visitors with QR passes, receive announcements, book common areas, and talk to the administration.
As a resident, your phone is your personal access control: from the app you invite visitors, receive condominium announcements, book common areas, answer surveys, and talk to the administration. This guide covers the essentials of day-to-day use.
Activate your account
Your administration sends you an invitation or an activation code linked to your unit. With that code:
- Download the ArmorPass resident app on your phone from the app store.
- Open the app and choose to activate an account with the code you were given.
- Enter the code and confirm your details: name, phone number, and unit.
- When the app asks, accept notifications. They are how you find out your visitor has arrived or that there is a new announcement.
If the code does not work or never arrives, check the troubleshooting guide before asking for a new one.
Invite a visitor
This is the action you will repeat the most. Quick summary of the full flow (the detailed guide with every case is in QR passes for visitors):
- In the app, go to the passes section and tap create pass.
- Choose the pass type: a one-time visitor pass, or a FastPass if the visitor comes back regularly.
- Type the visitor's name and set how long the pass stays valid.
- Send it through whichever channel you prefer: text message or any messaging app, because the pass travels as a link.
- When your visitor reaches the gate and the guard scans the pass, you get the notification that they are arriving.
Your visitor does not need to install anything. The link opens and shows the QR code ready to present at the gatehouse.
Receive condominium announcements
The announcements section gathers every official communication from the administration: water shutoffs, maintenance work, assemblies, reminders. New ones arrive as a notification and stay saved for later, so you do not depend on a messy group chat.
The administration decides whether an announcement is informative or urgent, and urgent ones are highlighted in the app. See the full guide in condominium announcements.
Book common areas
If your condominium has an event hall, barbecue area, sports court, or gym enabled in ArmorPass, you can book them from the app in four steps: pick the area, the day, and the time slot, confirm, and wait for the administration's approval. The status of each booking (pending, approved, or rejected) stays visible in the app, and you get notified when it changes. Details in common area bookings.
Talk to the administration
For paperwork, permits, or questions that are not a formal complaint, use the chat with the administration. Unlike a phone call or a stray message, the conversation is saved with history, and the administration can answer it from their web panel, seeing who you are and which unit is yours.
File requests, complaints, and claims
When the matter needs a formal record, use QR-coded complaints: you submit your request from the app, choose the type (request, complaint, or claim), describe the case, and receive a tracking number. The administration answers through the same channel, and you can see the status at any time.
Check your receipts
In the payments section you find your payment receipts for maintenance and other condominium charges, month by month, with the option to download them. Handy for showing them wherever they are requested, or for keeping your own records.
Take part in surveys
When the administration asks residents something (for example, about a project or a rule change), the survey shows up in your app and you answer in a couple of taps. Each survey says whether it has a deadline. See resident surveys.
Good habits with your passes
- Create the pass the same day as the visit, or shortly ahead, and set the expiration date carefully.
- If your visitor cancels, void the pass from the app so nobody else can use it.
- Do not forward other people's passes: each pass belongs to one named visitor.
- For frequent visitors, use FastPass instead of creating a new pass every time.
When to ask for help
If the app will not open, notifications are not arriving, or a pass shows a status you did not expect, check the troubleshooting guide first. If the problem is about your data (wrong unit, misspelled name), message your administration through the in-app chat.
